I went out into the woods on a frosty morning last week to practice with my macro lens. I was amazed at the teeny, tiny world that opened up to me. When you're focusing that close, each layer reveals something new. I was thinking how magical it was. Then I saw this - and I was reminded just exactly Who it is that gives us the beauty in each day. My own little reminder that God is in all things, big and small. That He is always watching over us, in momentous occasions and everyday moments. My own little cross in the woods.
I'm pretty private about my religion; I keep my faith close to my heart. You won't often see me post about it. But this, I felt, was special. I don't know if it will resonate with anyone else the way it did with me, but it felt special, and I wanted to share it. Especially as we are in the midst of the holiday season, what could be more appropriate than a teeny, tiny reminder of God's love?
