It is a rare treat that I get to see my very best friend in the world - our parents were friends in high school and so we've been friends practically since birth. We now have a 7 hour road trip separating us, and with each of us having our own kids now that trip doesn't happen nearly as often as we'd like. Last fall though Jamie came all the way out just to spend a few hours visiting, and to capture some images of her kids in the beautiful Upper Peninsula fall woods. Our winters might be a bit rough, spring is practically nonexistent, and summer isn't for the birds but rather for the bugs - but fall, oh man, fall makes up for all of that and then some.
Joanna played shy and Jackson was just having a good time running around - but that's what I love to capture, is who they are at that time. I was able to see these kiddos again this spring and it's amazing how much they've already grown and changed. I love these images not just because of the gorgeous scenery, but because they are my best friend's children, as they were in fall 2015 and as they will never be again.
Thanks so much for coming to see me girl - till next time.
