Levin was such a sweet little sleeper . . . until he wasn't! He was so snuggly and warm for the first part of his session, and then he was wide awake and just checking out the world around him. I tried all my tricks, and did take advantage of his bright eyes and captured some awake images, but it was pretty apparent he just wasn't going back to sleep. We got lots of variety with his first few setups though so he still has a gorgeous gallery.
Levin also has two sweet older brothers, and Grandma brought them in for their portion of the session and then took them home. I usually plan for about 3 hours for my newborn sessions, and while siblings are absolutely welcome to stay for the whole time, I know it can get to be a long time for them. I try to be very flexible for arranging parent and sibling poses. I have had siblings come at the beginning or at the end of sessions. If both parents are not able to come at the time of the session, I have had parents come back on a separate evening for their portion, at no extra charge. I really value the parent and sibling images and encourage everyone to get them, so I try to make it as easy as possible for that to happen.
Here's a few favorites from Levin's session - obviously I was feeling my warm brown tones that day, so I just love these images.
